    Still Can't Install

I've been following this tread from the beginning, tried every solution offered, and have made no progress. If anyone happens to get this figured out on a similar configuration as mine, send me a message with what you did and if it solves my problem as well, I swear I will buy you a six pack of your favorite beverage. For now, I'm done trying.

    • Black screen appears after the third or fourth boot.
    • No cursor
    • I'm on a Thinkpad T420 running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

I have exactly the same problem Hp 620. I think the only solution is to ugrade from CD and format entire C:\
In my case I can't do format to entire drive cos I wanna get free activite key from microsoft.

Yeah, I want it for free too. But more that that, I don't want to spend two days reinstalling and re-cracking all my apps!

I had a similar problem like this. Monitor would show black screen until I plugged it in via HDMI. Then it would boot to desktop for like 5-10 secs before going black. Turns out there was a problem with AMD's CCC causing it to go haywire so I reinstalled it and everything works now.

    Dark Blue Screen again

This is really frustrating not being able to up to 10 on my Dell Studio 1747 laptop. I've read where if you plug in a second monitor solves the problem; well I don't have a second monitor with a vga connection so that option is out. It really doesn't make sense how the install can go as far as it does and then nada. If one could obtain the product key for w10; maybe could install from DVD.

Have you tried pressing Winkey+P then press the down arrow 3 times and hit Enter? If the output is going to a non-existent screen that "MAY" switch it back.

Also, your laptop should have Fn key you can press to switch between onboard and external display.

Yes I have tried Winkey-P and Fn+ext monitor key gives the same result. Thanks anyways.
This my fifth time has one slight difference. Before nothing I would do made any difference. Now I mouse clicked the Windows 10 install window and it's gone paler blue with "Windows 10 Setup (Not Responding)". Grrrrrr
