Google: Media Creation Tool and download it

This is how I installed Windows 10 after trying 10 times! I upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10. I used the Media Creation Tool to accelerate the download and upgrade only. Meanwhile, Go to your device manager. Delete completely your CPU Integrated Intel graphic card.
Now your monitor should be hooked on your GPU graphic card, use only HDMI and 1 single monitor. Let the installation progress. When it's reach 75% and stuck to a blank screen. Don't panic!!!
Unhook your hdmi from the GPU graphic card, plug it back to your CPU intel graphic card. Wait few minutes and it should restart to a Windows login. I hope this help!

Sleep mode is your friend and easiest solution until it's fixed.

Hey guys I think I have found a solution:
Now this problem is most likely happening because you have multiple monitors. This was also happening to me and here is how I fixed it: When the black screen appears the login screen should originally appear but due to a bug with multiple monitors it does not. So just pretend that you're on the login screen; press enter, then enter your password (if you have one) and then press enter again. Altough you will not see it, your PC will be now at the desktop. Now perhaps give it some time, let it load so you can do the next step properly. Now press the windows button + P this should throw you to the multiple monitors setting. Now try to somehow blindly navigate (with arrow keys I presume, I personally have no idea how I managed to do it) and press enter, experiment a bit untill your screen will show. If it now shows, press the same buttons again and put it on Primary screen. Sadly this means you will have to use only one screen for a while, until this is resolved. I really hope this helps
This is doing nothing to fix the problem, it's only a temporary fix. You can do the same thing just by putting your pc in sleep mode then bringing it back. All you are doing when you switch monitors is making the system restart the graphics which is the same thing sleep does and it's a lot easier. BTW if you want to try this the menu pops up on the right side so you need to use your up/down cursor to change it. You should have 4 options if you are on a laptop.

I have been messing with this for weeks now, the problem started when I installed windows 8. I have tried every setting/fix that I could find and nothing has fixed it permanently. The best I was able to get was it only happening when I changed some setting but since I set my pc to bypass the login screen I get it every boot.

Either you buy windows 10 or you upgrade from Windows 7-8 Then upgrade to windows 10.

I have the black screen on my laptop, but if i plug in an external monitor it works, and detects it as my primary.

Any ideas how to get my laptop monitor to show? It's a Dell vostro 3550 intel 15 with hd 3000 graphics

Normally Dell puts a sticker on the pc somewhere with the windows key on it, either that or it will be on the papers you got with your pc.

This program will extract your key if you can't find it.

Your graphics are fired when the windows loading screen goes away. If you can see the login screen then it's probably not a graphics issue unless you have something crazy on your desktop that is causing a glitch.
