    Problem with downloading/installing MCT upgrade (and others)

    The other day I had notification of a new upgrade which had a very large file size (4gb).

    Very often in the past large upgrades seemed to fail on installation quite frequently - so I started to download them from the catalog and install them offline.
    I do this because I have a metered connection and having to download upgrades twice would reduce my allowance.

    However I could not find a way to download the latest upgrade (The Win 10 Creators update to version 1703) so went ahead and used the normal method - and guess what! - after the download the installation failed and the system wanted to download the 4GB (10 % of my allowance) again.

    So can anyone tell me - do I need to install this upgrade (I don't know what else it covers, but I don't need to create installation media), and if so, where can I download it independently of the system upgrade function.

    Using mct, download iso instead, double click on it and run setup.exe.

    @pewe,
    mct means the Microsoft provided Media Creation Tool:
    Download Windows 10

    Click the Download Tool Now button.

    Is there any way to download this large (4GB) file in sections?
