    Was thinking of putting all the old photos of family on there. How do I rename it?

    It has to be initialized and formatted and than it will be assigned a letter. Disconnect that portable drive first and if this new partition doesn't get letter D: assigned to it you can change it with right click option.

    Many Thanks. Was able to use the wizard in Computer management and it is now renamed D so Happy Days.

    Very good, I'm sure jokes about blonds are badly wrong. My GF is also a blonde, or ta least was (as we are way in our '60s) and is very smart and even good driver. Long live blonds !!!
