When you upgrade do you have 2 licenses?

I have an original win 7 disk. I remember to
I can't remember if I used it to upgrade to 8.1 or I bought it full version. I know I did it from the store.
Then 8.1 I got the free upgrade to 10.

I am thinking to install 7 on a laptop. Is there a way to know if my original 7 was upgraded or not?
    Thanks

without having the product keys available for each OS, there is no way of knowing if they were upgrades or not. When you upgrade one Windows version to the next, you do NOT gain any extra licenses.

If your Windows 7 disc and key are retail you can use them on any PC you want.

Only after removing the Windows installed on the previous computer - to comply with the EULA. That includes any Windows 8 or Windows 10 that were the result of upgrading that Windows 7.
