I have purchased Windows 10 home to do a clean install. I am able to boot from the usb and select custom for a clean install and seems to be setting up ok but when it get to the end it wants to go through the whole set up again. Can anybody help please?

You must remove the USB as soon as Setup has finished copying the files and goes for its first reboot. It should boot the HDD next to complete the install, but if you still have the USB plugged in it will boot from that again....

It's ready to do the next steps, so you shouldn't need to start from scratch. Just remove the USB and boot up.

Let us know how it goes.

It has worked ... did not realise I had to take usb out and boot for it to continue as it did not make that clear. Thanks for your help

Easy mistake, we've all done that at one time or another.

    Enjoy your new Windows.:)

It depends on the boot priority settings in your UEFI. Yours is set to boot from a USB flash drive before the internal HDD or SSD, so that is always what it will do as long as a USB flash drive is plugged in at boot time.

It was just strange that it did not seem to boot itself. Thanks again
