    Windows 10 Help!!!

    I bought a laptop yesterday - Asus fx553vd dm483 and they gave me it with an evaluation copy of enterprise edition which is activated for 90 days. Can i install any other version of windows on it ?? Will it cause any problems or not??

    I would recommend you start by running showkey plus from this forum;

    If there is a product key detected in the BIOS/UEFI, then you can easily install the matching version of Windows 10 on it and it will use that product key to activate itself.

    Otherwise, you can install any edition of Windows 10 that you want to on the laptop - but it violates the End Users License Agreement (EULA) to run Windows 10 without activating it, so you will have to legitimately activate it.

    You can do a clean install of any version of Windows 10 that you want to. That is what "USB BOOT" is - a clean install. It will replace the Enterprise Evaluation version.

    That model, the dm483 version, appears to be made specifically for the India market. It is supplied with the Endless OS (based on Linux) preinstalled by Asus.

    It is therefore very unlikely to have a Windows 10 key in the BIOS/UEFI. You can install Windows 10, it will run but not activate. You will need to buy Windows 10 if you want to activate it, you can do this through the Store.
