    Windows 10

    Upgrade notification

I have already the Windows 10 OS, but I get this notification:

    Windows 10 upgrade 28

Use Windows 10 Update Assistant to upgrade your Windows 10

Should I go ahead with the install or is it not necessary?

That image shows the same version and build I have, most current for the Creators Update. The image in your first post that mentions 28 appears to come from Windows10Upgrade28085 which can come from the Settings, Upgrade and Security when checking for updates and being given the option to get the latest which you already have. If it's an icon on your Desktop just delete it as not needed. The full file name is Windows10Upgrade28085.exe, an .exe/executable file uses double-click to run it.
