The 16 GB-worth of Crucial RAM memory's IN PLACE..."so far, so good"...??

    Dear Tenforums:

Dave C here again, with at least ONE follow-up to report on...

...the Crucial memory I'd ordered to replace the "questionable" Kingston components IS in my Biostar motherboard now, and IS functioning well...but there IS still that "challenge" in getting my DesignCAD 3DMax software running properly once more, which started having problems earlier this year, almost at the time that my system is likely to have "mandated" the "Creators Update" to my 64-bit Windows 10 installation.

I'm now communicating by EMail with a software engineer at IMSI, the same firm that publishes TurboCAD and DesignCAD, about my concerns in getting my fully-licensed copy of the DesignCAD 3DMax v.25, 64-bit software working PROPERLY again, in my W10-X64 operating system, so "that end of things" can hopefully work out in time.

However, thanks to that "Creators' Update", now I've found out that the ONLY form of username that it allows WIndows 10 to use HAS to be a valid EMAIL ADDRESS, and nothing else is acceptable for such a need. This did "pop-up" in the most recent attempt to install DesignCAD, so I've got to wonder if others have had that situation crop up with the "creators' update" as well.

Also, I've purchased a long-planned replacement for my MS Windows Office 2007 software, with the 2013 version. It ALSO seems to have setup challenges with the Creators' Update, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had such situations also cropping up, with what's been bugging its install attempts.

There COULD be a possible way to solve both these situations, IF I could permanently set my Win-10 X64 operating system to allow me to access it in its entirety with the "administrator mode". Even though the Tenforums site HAS a tutorial section about using the "administrator mode" with Windows 10, I can't "clearly" find much, if anything there "so far", about making a settings change somewhere within Win-10 that makes a PERMANENT change possible for the entire operating system, which could make my DesignCAD and MS Office 2013 headaches a thing of the past (or the formerly uninformed).

The ACHI change is working fine with my SSD, and the Crucial memory is also working nicely...I only wish my software installs (and continued use of any affected software), now that the Creator's Update for Win-10 seems inescapable, would ALSO start going properly, with fully behaved software to use!

Thanks in advance and Yours Sincerely,

    DaveC

Re. username, solution is to initially install as a local account, choose whatever name you like, then change to admin account.

Uou can also install second local account as above, then delete first account.

The first account created with Windows 10 is an admin account. I believe you meant to say create a local account first, which establishes the user account name that you desire, and then convert that account to a Microsoft Account login?
