    Unable to reset the computer

    Hi,

I have a laptop that I'd like to format and install windows all over again.

Selecting Reset and the option to remove all files the computer reports it prepares everything. After some time however it stops with a message saying something like (it is in Norwegian on my laptop, so there might be somewhat different in English):

There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes have been made.

I've tried it a couple of times but get the same error every time. Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

    Hi Hoggorm

I would move on to just doing a clean install. As part of process I would delete the partitions Windows used and allow it to reconfigure them. I assume you have boot media.

If not you can down load from Microsoft but be advised if you use Media Creation Tool you will be installing the Creator Update.

    Clean Install Windows 10

Note the warnings about secure boot and fast boot in tutorial.

It is possible to get other versions if required.

Edit 1: Information on how to get other ISO's in this thread
