Thanks, that's definitely picking up both EFI partitions.

So, I want to be cautious here.

On Disk 1 there are 3 partitions I'd like you to hide, using a partition manager program which you'll need to download. (You can't do this with Disk Management). These are the EFI partition, the Recovery partition and the System partition (16Mb) - not shown by Disk Management.

(Hiding is reversible, so a comparatively safe option).

    Example:
Unable to update to Creator Update 1703-untitled.png

Now ideally you need a partition manager with a bootable disk- the one I would have suggested has been withdrawn.

Ok, you can use Kyhi's boot disk - available from the top of the Software and Apps section here.
    (DVD or bootable flash drive).

Also as I previously posted, download the Creator's ISO and create a bootable medium.

It's night here- so I'm back some time tomorrow am.

    Hello,
    I have hidden:
EFI partition, the Recovery partition and the System partition (16Mb)
on Disk 1 and everything is working smoothly.

    Can I now delete them?

    Thanks for your great help!

Excellent... Before making changes on Disk 1 let's deal with the upgrade - or have you already done that?

If not, do you have the Win 10 bootable medium ready?

And what does bcdedit now show? I'd want to be confident that's ok before attempting the upgrade.

    Hello,
please find below the result of bcdedit.
It does seem the same as before.

    Thanks for helping,

Yep, I expected bcdedit to be unchanged. So to tidy that up:

    1. make a backup - best to a flash drive or external storage. E.g.
    bcdedit /export <drive letter>:\SAVEDBCD

    2. Then delete the 3rd entry:
    bcdedit /delete {cf84aeec-a48c-11e5-84bb-a68ccleb6flb}

The 3rd entry appears to be the invalid one - notice the two unknown entries in place of the device (partition) and the osdevice

    3. Then
    bcdedit
    again to confirm,

It has worked and now? Can I delete the hidden partions or what shall I do best?
    Thanks

Ok, the next thing to try is upgrading. Do you have the Win 10 CU bootable disk?

But before you do- create a disk image of your Disk 0.

For some reason I'd prefer to make the minimum changes, get Win 10 up and running, then do that. Of course it's up to you. You can also delete the copy of the 16Gb manufacturer's recovery partition they seem to have left on it, assuming that's what it is.

Thanks you so much, I will do that.
How can I officially thank you?

By the way, what is the best tool to create multiboot usb drives?

    Take care,
