Well then use the site I posted in reply #8

    Want some free advice ?

Don`t download the Creators update, too many people are having issues with it.

Download the Anniversary update and choose to Defer feature updates after you have it installed.

Choose the edition right below Redstone 1 - July 2016

    It says Windows 10 Home/Pro

It will most certainly ask you where to save it, I just downloaded it a few hours ago to install it on my new Samsung 960 Evo M.2 :)

I agree- staying with the anniversary edition (1607) is what I'm doing for a while. I have Win 10 Pro, and so can defer upgrades (not upgrade for some months). It's the more conservative option.

Ya the Creators Update stinks there is no need to install it now.

I wish we could permanently stay with the AU, but that`s not how MS is doing it

This is poor advice. Much better advice is to make an image back up of current install, upgrade to CU and then you can revert if you get issues. Frankly this advice is nonsense - every build upgrade gets issues. When TH2 came out, people said stick to RTM, AU, stick to TH2 etc. Vast majority do not get issues.

Even people say, I will wait until it is stable but totally fail to realise the day it is most stable is the day before the next upgrade so you would wait for ever on that basis.

So do it the intelligent way:-

Make an image backup, upgrade and MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP.

Maybe poor advice in your opinion, but you are entitled to it. And I don`t appreciate you calling my advice nonsense, that`s very rude of you. If you want to run the CU that`s your choice, but please........ post positive help or don`t post at all.

And make an image from what ? He has a new drive to install W10 on.

There is no current install. Why would you recommend installing a certain version, then upgrade it when he can just do a clean install now. Now that`s bad advice.

Then as it is a clean install, why not go for CU first - it works fine on majority of PCs.

What has he got to lose other than a bit of time if he has to back track.?

Keeping to old versions is still poor advice.

It is not, there is no reason to install the CU yet. It`s 2 weeks old

Once again, post positive help to the OP and don`t put down other people`s advice.

I disagree with your advice - let OP make his own mind up rather than scaring him.

My advice is positive - do it. Yours is negative - don't do it.

My vote is for Creator's Update. Working fine with no issues on 8 computers on my home network.
