It will be interesting to see how other people with dual boot fare.

    I wondered about that (#2).

I admit I had trepidations about how it would work but since I had images of both systems I figured I'd throw caution to the wind and give it a try. It went flawlessly, not a single hiccup which I admit surprised me.

After upgrading my desktop test rig to 1703, I had to use Macrium Reflect's boot repair utility from its Rescue Disk to restore my dual boot setup. After that I used EasyBCD to move boot entries around and redefine the text that shows up in the boot selection menu. I can explain this in detail, step-by-step, if anybody wants to know more details (it's pretty easy, though).

Wow, I guess the Computer Gods gave me a break on this one. I fully expected to have to do a boot repair after the upgrade to 1703. Not complaining mind you.

I encountered the same issue again while I was upgrading to 1709 (the Fall Creator Update) today. Same issue as before but this time I don't want to delete the dual-booted Ubuntu OS again! Could you provide some details on how to modify the booting setup?

    Thanks!
