    Re-installing Windows 10 over Ubuntu

A friend of mine installed Ubuntu 14.04 on my laptop because he thought it would make it faster but I have almost know knowledge of the operating system so its been pretty horrible. I made a boot USB drive using the windows media creation tool and set my toshiba's boot system to boot from the thumbdrive but it just goes right to the linux boot. Should I try a CD instead? I tried asking on their forums but they were pretty unhelpful. Thanks anyone.

I don't know yet about Creation tool versus ISO, will try that later? When you boot into the flash drive, you should see a message asking you to click enter (upper left corner)? If you don't see it, then the ISO image was not made correctly. If you see it (about 4-5 Sec.) and don't click enter, you will run Ubuntu.

Thank you for your help, I actually got it taken care of last night. Lots of stuff wrong; had to format my HD for MBR, got the dreaded "this hard drive is locked" message, all kinds of stuff but it is up and running win10 again :) thank you!
