here's the thing for those that don't know about buying a computer off of ebay.

you'll buy these ridiculously low priced computers for 300 something bucks when if you goto websites selling similar items that cost usually 100+ more, there's a reason to that. mainly due to the installation of a real windows operating system on them not some free bootleg that will work up until the next build upgrade. i'd never buy a computer from ebay and if i did i wouldn't rely on the operating system on it unless you got an actual windows disk and coa and key. most of the guys selling are out of their garage building and shipping these only to disappear 6 months to a year later.

if you don't want these problems, simply "stop being cheap"

@raptortechpcs, @trae and @aflodin I believe I understand what is happening here. We have 2 members with an illegal license and Maxx Computers was mentioned earlier in the thread. However, I don't believe this thread and this forum is the proper venue to resolve these problems. Everyone has explained their position. Let Ebay or the BBB resolve it. We can't.

I'm only even here because this showed up in a search result that we do periodically.

If the price is over $100 don't buy it on Ebay. (Ask me how I know.)

I know that doesn't help you now ... but it might in the future. We all learn from our mistakes.

This has been an issue since Win 7 days... then we could isolate the MSDN keys being sold... it's become more difficult now that MS has changed the PID configuration.. but yes, stay away from 2nd hand if you want genuine products.
