Can I run a virtual windows in Windows 10 for Android?

I'd like to run Android apps in a virtual window in Windows 10. Local cable co offers the ability to watch channels portably but only if you have Android or iOS. The other option is my wife uses our Roku to watch cable, but I'm not always interested in what she's watching.

Secondly, I work from home. There are certain quick, short jobs that require Android instead Windows, this would bolster my income if I could do this.

You can download an Android ISO from here Download - Android-x86 - Porting Android to x86

Then install it as a Virtual Machine using, for example, VirtualBox as described here How to Install Android in VirtualBox

Android x86 can be very buggy at times, and apps sometimes do not work right or at all.

Another option is to use the official Android emulator.

Download the android dev package, which includes the emulator.

Download Android Studio and SDK Tools | Android Studio

I believe the smaller Windows 64 download (No android sdk, no installer) zip file can launch the emulator, but I've not used it in a long time.

I remember several years ago the emulator worked flawlessly.

    Information on the emulator...

Bluestacks works well but does not like build upgrades - only clean installs. I run it in a second install of w10 just so I can clean install to run it.
