    Windows 10 ISO with (Auto)Unattend.xml

Been googling and pulling my hair out - what little hair I have left. I used to do these things with WDS but now I'm in an environment without that setup. First off, for ISO/USB installations, which do you use, Unattend.xml or AutoUnattend.xml? I've tried multiple approaches.

I've used sysprep and then captured the WIM with WinPE and DISM. From there, I opened the WIM in WSIM and then generated an Unattend.xml from there. With DISM, I then mounted the WIM within Windows and ran something like: dism.exe /image:C:\Temp\MOUNT /apply-unattend:C:\Temp\Unattend.xml. From there, I committed my changes and dropped the WIM into an ISO and ran the install. The install ran fine until the OOBE. The idea was to blow right by OOBE but it stopped and waited for my answers. So, that test failed.

My next test was similar but without all the mess of DISM. I mounted the WIM, generated an AutoUnattend.xml and then dropped it into the root of the ISO. I booted it and ran through the install but it too stopped me at the OOBE.

What am I missing? I used to do this stuff so often it was muscle memory. Now, I'm fighting with it!

I may have figured it out. I was using a build (v14393) that I had made via a sysprep/DISM capture. If I use a factory version (v10240), it seems to work. So, disregard for now; I'll have to work this out on my own. At least I know I've still got it!
