    Nice find T :)

    To the OP, the latest download is 4.42 GB, but you should have no problems putting it on a dvd, a dvd is 4.7 GB.

    I got the same message you got but it still went ahead and burned it no problem. I`ve not tested it out, no need yet.

    I would love to download it to a thumb drive, but my BIOS is from 2010 and won't boot from the thumb. I find it hard to believe that Microsoft has done this. Nowhere in the page of instructions does it say that a dual layer DVD is necessary. I repeated the process and I just put in for 64bit Windows 10, nothing more.
    You could create the USB media, boot from something else that can get you a command prompt then use that to run Setup from the USB.

    You can create a bootable CD with 'Backup and Restore (Windows 7)' from the Control Panel, click on 'Create a system repair disk'. This CD will boot by default to the 'restore system image' option, but if you exit that you get offered the standard recovery options, including the Command Prompt.

    There is no need for anything extra. Windows 10 64-bit fits on a standard DVD. Try IMGBURN instead:
    The Official ImgBurn Website

    Windows 8 and Windows 10 don't even need any extra software:

    I've always have to keep in mind that a 4.7GB DVD disc is advertised before formatting, 4.2GB being normal. That's why I use the DVD+R/DL discs whenever there's a question about it all fitting. The same is pretty much true for HDD/Hard Disk Drives, always less capacity after formatting.

    a 4.7GB DVD actually shows up as 4.37GB while the new ISO file is 4.42GB. If you test your DVD, it might not work

    @NavyLCDR
    I think you have an old ISO which only contains Pro & Home. The current MCT version contains 4 versions: Pro, Home, Single and Education hence the file size is 4.42GB.

    @nkoss,
    In order to fit the bootable ISO into a 4.7 DVD, you will have to export only the version that you need which will reduce to ~3.5GB
    Here's how to create Windows 10 Pro X64. If you want Home, then use SourceIndex:2
    1. copy install.esd from the ISO to desktop
    2. Open command prompt and run:
      dism /Export-Image /SourceImageFile:"install.esd" /SourceIndex:1/DestinationImageFile:"Newinstall.esd" /Compress:recovery
    3. a "Newinstall.esd" is created. Replace this file to the ISO, rename it to: install.esd
    4. Burn DVD.

    I will try it at home tonight with a brand new MCT and download and let you know.

    I did just notice this on Microsoft website:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

    When burning a DVD from an ISO file, if you are told the disc image file is too large you will need to use Dual Layer (DL) DVD Media.

    This is a download from the site that T posted, It`s supposed to have both Home and Pro 64 Bit on it.

    I've just downloaded that one, used it to do a clean install on a Win7 PC that I hadn't got round to updating, perfect install and accepted the Win7 key and is activated.
