    Clean re installing Windows 7

    Hi
I have problems with one of my PC after the recent Windows 10 upgrade and having several issues occurring intermittently (can't browse internet. Internet / WiFi connection gets disconnected time to time) and prefer to reinstall Windows 7 on this PC until windows 10 becomes stable.. The computer originally came with a Windows 7 . Can I do a clean re-install of Windows 7 (I have the product key on the sticker on the machine) from a DVD .
Just wanted to get some advice whether re-installing Windows 7 will not make the computer unusable ?. Is there anything else that I should check or be mindful before doing the clean re-install.
    Appreciate an advice

I purchased and was forced to uninstall the following programs!! Crashplan, Dashlane, Bitdefender, MalwarebytesI had to scrap all 4 programs to get win 10 to function!! I have been forced to take a loss on all of this money!!Win 10 has caused me to totally scrap hundreds of dollars of the above software!!It seems everything interfered with Win 10! I am, however, very very fearfully, using the Lastpass extension! Also Adblocker and that Onenote Screenshot editor!I had MONTHS OF updates failing, odd restarts, crashes, browser crashes, disk usage buried forever, super, super long logon/ logoff, you name it!!I now use only Windows Defender!! This morning I also reinstalled Win 10 after months and months of complete hell!!It seems Win 10 is very "proprietary" and only seems to allow it's own products. This seems to be the way it behaves. (?????)So far, as of today, it seems to be a very smooth, well running, much faster system. Almost a beautiful thing if you just leave it alone and let the Windows World run the whole show!!As an end user, I strongly advise you just let Win 10 do it's own thing!!I am terrified to uninstall or change ANYTHING ON WIN 10!! for fear it will make it totally unstable again!!I am terified to, even, try to get rid of all the Crapware! For fear I will be "punished" with instability!!I am going to try to keep it running by just using Windows things and not even change a single thing on the updated PC (as of this morning.) I'm too terrified to even try to move some icons around!!!I have been a PC hobbyist since the 1980's! I took programming classes way back when I was in college. I used to write my programs in 2 languages on KEYPUNCH CARDS! I have been on every Windows machine since Windows 98 SE.Win 10 seems to be running well, so far, for now..... like I say, fast... and almost.... oddly.... beautiful.... (!!!!)

The issue I have is that I can't browse the web pages with Windows 10 running and it disconnects the wifi connection intermittently , first I thought Mc Afee total protection was causing the issues and uninstalled the virus guard completely and the issues are still on going any help on this, I would love to keep Windows 10 running but I am not able to use the PC for all required purposes

I upgraded from Win7 but I have since clean installed win10pro back into my pc & everthing works stable including Bitdefender, Nero 11 Platinum, Office 2007, PCB Wizard 3 , VLC Player, Vinyl Studio & mp3 Stam Tag Editor ect, ect.

If you are still using the "update to win 10 copy you need to re-download w10 for the latest "stable" version & do a clean instal which cure a multitude of errors you are suggesting.

Yes, you can do a clean install of Windows 7. After booting from the Windows 7 DVD, I would suggest you select the custom install option, delete every partition on the hard drive (which will erase everything), highlight the unallocated space and click next to let whichever version of Windows you install completely set everything up from scratch. Unless you have a partition that is dedicated to data storage only and it is at the end of the hard drive, then leave that one there.

That's what I would try first, though.

I agree, if you like Windows 10 then do a clean install. In my opinion W10 is stable as a rock.

If you`d rather have W7 again (the best OS ever made) then reinstall it. :)
