Regarding the confusion about "next/new" I made a goof and commingled the terms.
I meant that if I am using an SSD, you seem to say not to click 'new', just click next but, with an HDD I can click 'new' to create the reserve partition - although this seems to violate the K.I.S.S. rule.
I thought the reserve partition would not be created with an HDD unless I clicked 'new', not next, but perhaps I am wrong.
I notice some people seem to just click 'next' whereas I click 'new' with the HDD just to create this reserve partition I can see in disc management.

I always have images with Macrium Reflect on hand and thanks for the time and work.

I guess the last S in K.I.S.S. apples to me.

I think I am all set now. and will 'next' everything.

Keep all your programs on the ssd, the only programs I don`t keep on the ssd are games.

It does not matter if you use a ssd or a hd, if you install to unallocated space you`ll get a SR partition, if you create an install partition you won`t, it`s that simple.

An SSD or a HDD - it does not matter. Windows setup treats them exactly the same. If you highlight the unallocated space and click next and let Windows 10 set up all the partitions, on a UEFI system this is what you get:

In my situation I install to a single partition I created with Partition Wizard on a MBR drive in Legacy Mode, and you can see the difference between mine and Navy`s

In Navy`s situation he installed to unallocated space on a GPT drive using UEFI.
