Can't install windows 10 pro again

Using windows 10 pro on acer laptop. I had dual boot with windows 10 pro and ubuntu 14.04. One day on start up and choice to choose operating system when clicking on windows 10 pro, could not boot in any more, while ubuntu was booting fine. Error with windows was : no such device. When booted into ubuntu was able to access all files in windows. Now tried installing windows from disc and tried both options with keep current files and fresh installation without success. With keep current files it says i need to that from logged in windows which i cant. All installation on fresh install goes ok however when laptop comes to restart there is nothing coming up, like nothing to boot into. With all this tries of installing windows now lost even ubuntu. Only way i can get into laptop at the moment is via ubuntu disk with option try ubuntu. When check c disk for windows old it shows all my unseccufull tries of windows are installed. Tried installing ubuntu again but same story, when installation gets to restart there is nothing to boot into. Any help how to get windows running again would be appreciated.

    Thanks

This will erase everything on the hard drive:

Boot from Windows 10 installation disk or USB flash drive. At the first screen press shift + F10. In the command prompt window run:

    Diskpart
    Select disk 0
    Clean
    Exit
    Exit

Select the custom install option. You should see the hard drive listed with nothing but unallocated space. Click on the unallocated space and then next.

    Thank you Navy

I was hoping i will not need to get to this option. I will first try to save anything i can on my hard drive before i wipe everything

Great, thank you Navy, i am up and running again. Maybe its better this way as i got clean laptop again. Just one more questio, have i done something wrong and why did happen in first place? Is it cos i had dual boot with ubuntu? I am planning installing ubuntu alongside windows 10 again.
