I note that the System Reserved partition only has a letter assigned to it when I look at my DM from the Clean Install partition. I didn't put it there - Windows must have a reason to place it there. Until I know the reason, I would hesitate removing that partition.

Also, I assume that, to remove the old W10 OS, all I have to do is format that partition? Doesn't the MBR have to be changed also? Or is this accomplished by Windows?

Note that I removed 'Active' from the Data drive.

You can delete the old install AND the system reserved partition whenever you want to.

You can leave the SR letter if you want, but it is not suppose to have a letter, if it has a letter, data could mistakenly be written there.

Now you can start working on your new install, programs, drivers, etc

I thank you all very, very much. Not only do I have the dual boot of Windows 10, I've learned quite a bit from you folks. The only question in my mind now is that letter that was assigned to my System Reserve Partition. I don't want data to be mistakenly written there. Suppose I just delete that letter 'G?'

Yes, go into Disk Management and remove the letter.

And after that could you post a pic of Disk Management after booting into the old install, before you leave us :) I want to see something.

I want to do the same as the OP, on the same SSD. I get lost in the thread. If I shrink my current W10 partition, can I just install the 2nd W10 in the unallocated space?
