Yes, we are running Enterprise and the media creation tool doesn't like Enterprise. I have tried GPO settings and settings with MS Intune, but nothing has worked so far. The farthest I can get is to have the computer download the 1607 update and then it is waiting for a restart to install. The problem is I can't do an automatic reboot that installs the update...

Have you looked into either of the options on this MS site?

Sure. With settings from a GPO, I was able to get the local computer see the 1607 update and download it. The computer requires a reboot to initialize the installation of the 1607 update, but I cannot get the update to install whenever I do an automatic reboot. If I manually reboot the system from the start menu and choose "Update and Restart", the update gets installed as needed.

I just can't get an automatic reboot to install the update... Make sense?

Yeah, I think so. It just sits there? Giving you the option to Restart Now, or it will after Active Hours have expired? The Restart Now should set the next boot path in bcdedit (to the actual install) and fire up the "working on updates/configuring updates", reboot, and proceed with the upgrade. Hope I worded that right.....

Interesting. I'll have to check bcdedit and see what I can do with that.

So whenever I rebooted the computer (after I had the update downloaded), the only way to finish installing the update was by using the start menu "Update and Restart" option. Any other form of a restart never finished installing the update. Weird right?
