Having a separate drive is best.. you can store your files there and if/when you need to re-install an OS you don't lose them

Well for me that is not a option at the moment. And i refuse to lose any important things(pics, etc.). So I am just going to go back to 10130 because I just tried re-installing 10147 and it did nothing to fix the broken beta store. I dont know how you others got the store to work in 10147 because I tried and everytime i try; the store immediately closes; like it just "flashes" on the screen then closes and wont open at all.

There's a fix for it that might work:
    Store, Store (beta), and apps

Those powershell commands did nothing to fix the store issue. it tries to open; flashes on the screen then closes.

and the troubleshooter for the store and store apps says its not available or compatible for this version of windows. So it wont work either.

I'm sorry, but if you can't afford to lose your files, you shouldn't be using beta software. At all. A bug could completely obliterate everything at any time. I'm serious.

If re-installing is that much of a concern for you... you're playing Russian roulette.
Agreed. I would just back them up and do a clean install, and put them back. In the future, use a non-primary computer or make a partition!

Well; again i will reiterate that losing things is NOT a option. So with that said; I may just go back to the official preview release of 10130.

Did you upgrade to 10147? Or do a fresh install? You could try rolling back. But I think if you fresh installed and don't have an image of 1030 you may not have much luck.

    Hello Matt,

If you upgraded to the build you are on now, then you may be able to use the "Go back to the previous build" option. :)
