win 10 installation

    win 10 installation


    hi am trying to install win 10 home the full version on my Samsung RF711 laptop but it doesn't move away from searching for updates I currently have windows 7 on my laptop . I just bought the windows 7 home usb a day ago from best buy any ideas what is wrong . what I should mention also is that win 7 did the same thing with the updating any ideas wat can be wrong thanks:

    Are you trying to upgrade from 7 to 10, or clean install 10? It's not clear from what you posted, not to me anyway.

    Do the install with no internet connection at all. After it is all installed, then connect to the internet for activation.

    I do believe the "check for updates" option during the install/upgrade is optional. You can select not to do it. Or as NavyLCDR posted, just disconnect from your network.
