    Factory reset

If I did a factory reset on my laptop (which had Windows 8 when I purchased it recently) would it go back to Windows 8 or am I stuck with Windows 10?

If you ever had serious problems, I would download the Windows 10 ISO for the version you have now (see https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/9...-download.html) so you have it ready either to repair your installation (repair installation) or a clean installation.

There are troubleshooting steps to take before you do this - post if you need advice. I also advise you to make frequent system images of your currently running system so you can easily restore your full working OS & programs. Most people on the forum us the excellent free Macrium Reflect software.

For documents photos etc everything will be wiped. Best bet is to save all docs etc to ms objective or Google drive give them time to sync and they will all be there on the new windows
