    Dual Boot

    Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here has installed Fedora alongside Win 10 and how easy it actually is? I've done it before with Opensuse but I know yast don't play well with Windows. I've read that Fedora works great alongside Windows but I haven't tried to install it yet just thought I would get someone else's opinion before I continue forward with the install.

    Thanks

    Joe

As long as Fedora supports your hardware this should be a no-brainer. Just pay attention to where to install the boot loader (Grub). It has to got into the Windows EFI partition. And of course make sure not to overwrite any Windows partitions. Apart from this there should not be much trouble.

Oh and my recommendation is to disable secure boot. I think I've read somewhere that Fedora supports secure boot but you can eliminate a possible source of error if you disable it. In my opinion secure boot is useless anyways. But I'm pretty sure there are people who's opinion concerning the usefulness of secure boot differs from mine

Thanks I got installed lastnight with no problems . I did make the mistake and didn't put the bootloader separate from windows but only took me 15 minutes to correct grub. Thanks for the help though
