This x64 system was upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate in August 2015. All the patches and updates have been applied successfully. I have eliminated all but one error. I have been working on this for days. I would appreciate any help resolving this error:

my first post here since i start to be pretty desperate. My Win 10 (version 10.0 Build 10240) has downloaded and installed version 1511, 10586 now already five times. Every time it asks to reboot to finish the upgrade there pops up a window...
My Parents figured it was time to upgrade to ten so I made up a disc and upgraded both their computers to 10 build 10586 successfully. I had already had 10, I got new parts so I upgraded via a disk my dad made when 10 first came around, build 10240....

I've tried to install this multiple times: Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586
Here's what I've done so far to try and fix:
sfc /scannow multiple times as admin. No errors reported.
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
