    Dual Booting

    Hi,
I've decided that I would like to dual boot Windows 10 TP (I know im late to the game)

Now ive done dual booting before, but I was wondering if its any different, as my system has change to include a SSD which just has windows 7 and a HDD with my files.

If I just partition my HDD to a smaller size and install windows 10 on the other half of that partition will that work and not affect windows 7

Morning, and welcome! You should have no problems at all. Shawn Brink, one of our Administrators, and Master Tutorial Guru, has written an excellent tutorial on the "how-to-do". Just go to this post, read it through, and if any more questions or concerns--- post back, many here to help! Have a good one! :) Dick.....

Except for me having Windows 8.1.1 instead of Windows 7 that's exactly how I have my computer setup. If you do go dual boot some users recommend hiding the OS drives from each other. I'll see if I can find the post.
