    Windows 10 Anniversary update problem....

    Hi,
I am currently running Windows 10 Pro edition 10586.494 without issue,as I have not yet received the
automatic update to the Anniversary Edition I decided to install it manually.

I downloaded the Windows 10 upgrade assistant and it checked my PC and proceeded to download and verify, however when it came to the install I got the error message shown....
I have since attempted several times to perform the install, but have had no success,
would appreciate some assistance if anyone else had encountered this problem, and managed to solve it...

Thanks for your prompt response,I actually have tried everything in that article, however I still have the issue,
stuck as to what to do next to be honest, really don't want to perform a system recovery as have had problems with that in the past.

    Hi,
I was thinking of that earlier, however when I click the link I get a plain page,
I guess the link is not connecting with the server at present?

I've had luck doing a clean boot then upgrading on several occasions...

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

you're basically shutting off all startup items in msconfig, disconnecting all usb and internet cables, and restart, then upgrade...
