I had issues with some of the early insider builds. Lately no gotchas though. I actually finally like the Start Menu/Screen. It's not for everyone though. My only advice is, if you've already paid for it, and can't return it,why not try it for a while. Another option is to do a clean install your self. Then you can decide what to install. My factory OEM installs on our laptops are long gone for my own custom installs.
If you can find a matching version Windows 7 ISO, you can install with that key. The version its for should be on the COA sticker. Any time I have done that, I have had to do the phone activation. It's all automated, you enter your install code, then they give you an activation code. One trick you can do is remove the ei.cfg file from a Windows 7 ISO. Do that and it prompts you to select the version. Select the version matching what is listed on the COA sticker and you should be OK. Finding the ISO is the tricky part. The official download site will not accept OEM keys. And the digital river downloads are gone.
^But do you think I can restore Windows 7 using the product key from my other refurb machine?
If you updates from 7 to 10 on the pc and havent deleted windows.old etc you can from within 10 role back to 7
