Windows 10: Install over Windows 7 has problems - can I reinstall over Windows 7
Snagit is a good program. You can find Screenpresso at C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Learnpulse\Screenpresso\Screenpresso.exe
If you don't want your taskbar to auto hide, try this Taskbar Auto-hide in Desktop Mode - Turn On or Off in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
Just for information, I just ran sfc /scannow on all my user accounts - and now they all show corrupt files that can't be fixed. I did this several times for each account. Then, I re-installed Windows 10 which I thought might put those system files back - but I'm still showing corrupt or missing files in the sfc. The Taskbar continues to blink. The Notification area and the System Tray continue to take a long time to appear - then they disappear before the next blink.<br>
Seems to be a lot of missing services.
@simrick will need to look at the files you uploaded.
Did you do a clean install or a repair install?
Repair install. I have far too many programs and settings to consider a clean install. That would have to be an absolutely last resort - and I probably would leave this Earth before I was done - seriously! Being a caregiver takes up almost all of my time. Now I'm going to see what else you folks requested and try to upload that. Probably the sfc details.
ANOTHER CLUE: I've noticed that my CPU usage approaches 100% momentarily just before the blinking cycle starts.
AdwCleaner only found a lot of PUPs. I deleted them all.
Would you please resend me the path to get the sfcdetails. I'm having trouble finding it. Also, what else do you need from me? Can't find that either.
Tossing an idea in here. What BIOS version are you on? Most current is A16.

Right click the start flag, select Command Prompt (Admin) give admin approval and run this command
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"
It should put a SFC Details.txt file on your desktop.
Sorry - I didn't expect to post what you wanted piecemeal - but that's the way it's working out.
Here's why: Desktop, Notification area, Taskbar and System Tray blink on and off every few seconds. Everything worked fine in Windows 7 (I have an Image Backup). In W10, System File Checker shows errors, not in Windows 10.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from 7 Ultimate (clean install), and I've been having some issues that I was hoping to get some insight into:

Whenever I log on, I get a black screen with a cursor. I can access my files and go online through task manager but my desktop doesn't load up.
This has led me to believe that maybe that part of the install went bad and those files were never made...
