Windows 10: Disabling lockscreen with 14393
Disabling lockscreen with 14393
It seems MS have removed the ability to disable the lockscreen using a registry edit. On my tablet, I now have to swipe screen to get to login prompt and after sleep.
If you set it to autologin using netplwiz or similar, it does not need to swiped at login, only after sleep.
Interesting on my laptop, it still works fine.
I can only assume this change is designed so they can advertise on lockscreen in time like the annoying Kindle Fire 7 Lockscreen (although I have disabled the ads).
My hdds randomly disappear from os . I have to reboot to gain access. Failing sata ports or build issue?
I am trying to install the latest Insider Preview and I keep getting the error in the title. I have searched the internet to see if there is a solution. I tried SFC scan and it found corrupt files and corrected them. I ran this twice to make sure...

With Build 14393, I lost my Extensions.
Had Lastpass and Amazon.
They showed in the Extensions tab, right side, but weren't operable.
I uninstalled them and now when I click on the "Get extensions from store", it open to a blank page.
