How to use my digital entitlement

I installed the free Win 10 upgrade and subsequently reverted to Windows 7 using a Macrium clone of Win 7 that I had made. Whilst in Win 10 I checked that the copy had been activated. As I understand it I now have a digital entitlement to Win 10 that I can use any time in the future to reinstall the free copy as long as it is on the same PC.

However, what I am not clear about is how I would use this digital entitlement. What exactly would be the process for using it and reinstalling Win 10?

    Read this webpage:
    Windows 10

Click on +Using the media creation tool
+Performing a clean installation using a USB or DVD
Then the blue or grey Note box:
    Note

If you’ve already successful activated Windows 10 on this PC, including if you upgraded by taking advantage of the free upgrade offer you won't need to enter a Windows 10 product key. You can skip the product key page by selecting the Skip button. Your PC will automatically activate later.
The first option to skip the product key will actually be "I don't have a product key"
