Windows 10: Deleted all Operating Systems, how do I install Windows 7? (USB)
Deleted all Operating Systems, how do I install Windows 7? (USB)
So I had Ubuntu, when I installed it I accidently overwrote windows.
I tried to get it back now but I think I messed up badly. I formatted /sda1 as NTFS and deleted Ubuntu.
I have live Ubuntu on a USB & Windows 7 on another one. How do I install windows 7 back? At the moment I'm using a live ubuntu USB as I have nothing else to use. When I go on gparted, these are the main things that show.
/dev/sda1 has the flag: Boot
That's all that's on there. I hope someone can help me!
Do you want to clean install Windows 7 with Windows 7 as the only OS? If that is what you want to do, then you will boot the computer from the Windows 7 USB flash drive. When you get to the choice to upgrade to Windows 7 or Custom Install, select the custom install option. That will give you a list of all partitions on all hard drives. On the hard drive that you want Windows 7 on, delete every existing partition on that hard drive until you have 1 unallocated space (that will erase that hard drive). Then just pick the unallocated space and next to install Windows 7 to the hard drive and let Windows 7 partition it the way that it wants.
Yes, that's what I want to do.
ive tried that, but it never boots Windows. It just skips to a black screen and says
checkign media [fail]
i set bios options to boot from USB as well, + tried uefi on and off
How to Change Time to Display List of Operating Systems at Startup in Windows 10
If you have more than one operating system installed on your PC, then you will have 30 seconds by default to choose an operating system to run before the default...
OK thought I would see how many of us who use computers also dip into other Operating Systems to fool around with.
Windows 311 just for giggles.
