boot problems after clean install from usb stick to SSD

I bought a new 250 GB SSD and wanted to perform a clean install of windows 10. I installed windows from a USB stick and all seemed to go well until installation finished and I attempted to reboot removing the usb stick after first changing bios to boot from SSD. It wont boot from SSD without the memory stick in. When I look at the drive in disc management its showing as follows;

- simple basic - Healthy (EFI SYSTEM partition ) 99MB 99MB 100%

(C simple basic NTFS Healthy (Boot, page file, crash dump, primary partition,)232.33GB 207.03GB 89%


ESD-USB(D simple basic FAT32 Healthy (Active, primary partition) 14.54GB 10.43GB 72%

I think some installation files have been left on the memory stick but not sure which ones are needed, I may be wrong.
It boots well with usb in but once removed and bios pointed to start from ssd it tells me to insert media and hit any key to continue as if it cant find system on ssd. Windows files are on there and I did install it to ssd but don't know what else to do from here.
