Could you please explain why? Gigabyte told me twice to keep that set to "Windows 8/10" if I'm installing Windows 10. Very confused here now. I can't believe it's this confusing to set my motherboard for UEFI properly for windows 10 installation. I appreciate the advice. I'm just confused here.
According to this thread I should keep "Windows 8/10" selected. I have my settings all set to match those recommended in this thread. With these settings my PC keeps rebooting to Bios. Is this because my Windows 10 USB thumb drive isn't inserted yet? Is that why the PC keeps booting to the UEFI/BIOS?

Hi,
A snippet from the MB manual:
So yes, by disabling "Windows 8/10 Features" it should then automatically be set to UEFI only.CSM Support Enables or disables UEFI CSM (Compatibility Support Module) to support a legacy PC boot process. Enabled Enables UEFI CSM. (Default) Disabled Disables UEFI CSM and supports UEFI BIOS boot process only. This item is configurable only when Windows 8/10 Features is set to Window
Pls. insert your installation media and reboot. It should launch setup as there is no OS on the HDD.
Cheers,
Thanks. But if I disable Windows 8/10 features, don't I lose the Secure Boot option? I want keep that enabled.
You have to have the Windows 10 USB flash drive inserted when you power on your computer if you want to be able to boot from it.
I just wanted to be sure I am installing it in UEFI mode. I don't want to try installing with the wrong settings.
With my settings matching this thread I get the reboot loop to the BIOS. That's why I'm confused.

With no bootable media present that's to be expected. With my settings matching this thread I get the reboot loop to the BIOS.
