I'm Stuck on Waiting to download

    Hello everyone.
Like the title says, it's been an awful long time waiting to download.
My rig is ready for WIN 10, and checks out with the compatibility tool.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Or is something amiss?

I had the same thing on my W7 laptop. It stuck at 99%. The reason was it had to download and install W7 updates first. After I did a reboot and the updates were installed,W10 installed correctly.

    Hello.
I don't even get the download to start.
I'm nowhere near starting to install.
My WIN 7 pro is stuck at the spinning dots, telling me "waiting to start download"

O maybe the servers are to busy. Try again later maybe? Or your internet speed is to slow?

Windows 7 can take up to 48 hours to check for updates, it is MS treat for people, who refuse to update to 10.

You could do a clean install of Win 10 so you wouldn't have to update Win 7 first and then do an Upgrade install.
If you do the clean install, you would have to re-install all programs after the install.

You can also just upgrade to Windows 10 without waiting for the Windows 7 updates. Download the WIndows 10 ISO file, mount it with a mounting program, run setup.exe from inside the mounted ISO inside Windows 7:

    Thanks everyone.
I finally got the full download.
Just waiting for the install to start.
It's been about an hour of "preparing to install" stuck at about 20%.
I'm going to leave it alone for a spell, see what happens.
Funny thing, the laptop went smooth and quick.
    Maybe because it's a 32 bit machine, but I don't know.

    Hi navyLCDR.

I do have the ISO for Win10.
Will your method retain my current install stuff, or is it a clean install, where I would need to re-install all my App's?
