Build 10049 didn't install

    Speaking about Language Pack: Build 10049 does install unexpected things, like a Korea Media Player, and Korea Messenger. But I'll deal with those eventually.

    Before updating try this:
    Turn off all languages other than your native one in
    Control Panel - > Programs & Features -> (Left pane) Turn Windows features on or off

    Check what Settings says about languages - remove any that you don't or won't be using.
    Settings -> Time & Language -> Region & Language -> Languages.

    I'm not sure where 10.041 stores this info - it's changed a few times, so check both 'control panels'

    To be honest, I'm not sure if that will prevent the Preview Build update from overkill (installing all available languages) - worth a shot though.

    I downloaded the above via my Synology NAS download station. Its now up and running on my spare PC.

    I got Download Station too on my Qnap NAS. It's good to have one if you have a slow connection. You don't have to keep your PC turned on. It will keep downloading in the background direct to the NAS. :)
