Windows 10 Upgrade for corrupt Windows 7

I have an HP desktop I believe the hard drive is failing. It will not boot, I get all kinds of startup errors.
I tried a bunch of things (chk dsk let it run forever etc) to fix that no success. I was able to backup the drive.
Windows 10 had been downloaded but not installed. I want to just replace the hard drive and load windows 10.
Is there a way I can download the iso for windows 10 and use my Product Key from windows 7? I have my product key.

    Thanks

Yes. Just install the matching edition and version of Windows 10 that the Windows 7 product key is for. Click "I don't have a product key" when first asked. Click "skip" or "do this later" when asked for the product key until Windows 10 is fully installed. Then go to settings, updates and security, activation and change product key, enter the Windows 7 product key to activate it.

2 official sites to download Windows 10 ISO file.

    Media Creation Tool
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/soft...load/windows10

    Tech Bench
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/soft...load/techbench

I would recommend that you use Tech Bench link.

Yes, you can install Windows 10 with the downloaded iso file and activate it with your Win 7 product key.

There are 2 ways to install Windows 10 using the iso file :

    1. In-place upgrade install.
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2...tallation.html
In-place upgrade install allows you to keep your files, settings and apps.

    2. Clean Install

Clean Install will NOT let you keep anything. You start fresh.
