    8.1 upgrade to win10 error mssgs.

    Downloaded Win10 to my Win 8.1 desktop. Received following error messages upon attempted install finish:


    "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation"

    Have un-installed all security and all non-essential drivers and programs.

    Guidance, please?

    Alas, it appears that your CPU may not be compatible with Windows 10. At least, that's what I found on this Intel Communities Forum post. So sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.
