What, there`s another build out, 10049 ? I have to hook my drive back up and re upgrade again ?
I thought 10041 came out less then 2 weeks ago ?

As far as the Start Menu is concerned, it's still a work in progress; it's doable, it works well enough for now and it's the closest we're going to get to what W7 and W8 purists were crying for.
As far as Search is concerned:
- as long as the items you're searching for reside in the User directory they will come up in results.
- you'd have to modify Indexing Options if you want results from external drives and such, even then I'm not sure.
As far as stuff not working, well...,
if I rebuilt my lawnmower engine and didn't gap the spark plug properly, it may not work so well the first few times either.
Give it time. :)

I have given MS plenty of feedback but all of it probably goes into a bucket bit.
I don't care about start screen anymore. It used to bug me during the early days of Windows 8 and I just got tired of it and never used since. Start screen is good... for mobile devices. Whenever I do a clean install, the first thing I do is install Chrome and Classic Shell.
With classic shell, you don't actually lose the start screen, it's still there inside the Win-7-like start menu.
