I had the same problem, and was going to give up when just tried one more time...

    Username - anything
    Password - anything
Hint - I typed "BBBB" and hit return expecting the "Something went wrong" error again and it accepted it !

Need to retry it to see if it wasn't just a fluke, but maybe something to do with case-sensitive characters?

The password hint cannot be the password itself or something very similar, nor can it be same as the username. It has to be unique. I always use the simple Yes! as a hint.

I have no idea what is going on with your system. Try installing another older OS W7 or W8. and going at it again.

Guess I'll wait for another release to come out. I found a video of an instructor loading WIndows 10 10041 and had the same problem. He changed some of the logon credentials and it work, Mine not so much. This is a serious SNAFU.......

    You aren't alone... 使用win10 10036中文版安装设置用户(密码提示-password hint)安装过不去-有没-password,中文版,密码,用户-32d近景论坛-微软极客社区

No solution though (it is Chinese to me, you may need to translate it).

Did you try cleaning the disk?

Try just a generic user name only, (or did we cover that?)

English translation. Had to translate in Chrome and save as PDF.[ATTACH]15422[attach]

Sorry for the garble in the PDF, but that's what it was! WYSIWYG!

You might want to create a local account when you install Win10 and then add the bells and whistles later.
