Ok, run one of the partitioners and shrink the o:\partition, so that you leave however much free unallocated space as the Windows ten install you wish to occupy, say 60 GB as a round figure, more if you want.
start setup again and see if setup accepts the unallocated space
what location did you choose?okay so just into the setup, and now ive got "we couldnt install windows in the location you chose. 0x80300001"

okay windows has whizzed away and has re partitioned my drive. there is no longer an O:, local disc is now F:
it has created a partition for the system reserve at 500mb and formatted the hdd
Ok is the \Sources folder anywhere to be seen? in F:
If you alt tab, you should be able to get back to the Winpese and explorer to see all the changes being made
