    Specific for Murdabenne -
$Windows.~BT\Sources\NewSystem.dat: The system cannot find the file specified. [0x00000002] __cdecl
This seems to indicate that something doesn't match - either version (home/pro) or bitness, or language...
However, if it failed when using the media creation tool, then this means nothing, because that should have downloaded the proper ISO.
    WlanOpenHandle failed with error 00000426
If you have a graphics card, make sure your monitor is plugged into it, and go into BIOS and disable the integrated graphics.

    uninstall printer

also - too many INF trying to migrate...please read the post here for more info:
    Solved Error 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 When Upgrading to Build 10162 - Windows 10 Forums

    Failed to backup BCD database
This sounds to me like the installer is unable to modify the boot config and a boot rebuild may be in order? Is this system an upgraded W10, or did it come this way? (Sorry if you already gave us that info...)

    CDlpTask::ExecuteAction(3243): Result = 0x80004005
Googling this error I found this:
Turns out this wasn't an issue with the Windows 10 installer, but from some corruption of the locale files in my EFI partition (EFI\Microsoft\Boot\{xx-XX}). I was able to resolve the issue by doing the following:
    1. Boot into the Command Prompt via System Recovery Option
    2. Use diskpart to mount the EFI partition
    3. Run CHKDSK /f on EFI partition
    4. Restore the bcd locales using bcdboot c:\windows /s j: /l en-us

I am really shooting from the hip here. This is way more work than anyone should have to go through for an upgrade.

All this is unbelievable, the trouble these 2 users are having. I upgraded 2 HP desktops that I own, never saw problems like this.
1 of those computers is 9 years old....never even cleaned installed Windows 10 Pro....Run great... just surprised at these problems.

I probably should add that in my original list of items, yes? I think that is an important step at this point...

I was hoping it would work out for Geeve420 like it did for me, I was able to download 10586, mount it, and run setup.exe to upgrade from 10240 Home to 10586 Home. I followed davidhk instructions to the letter, and it worked fine for me.
No problem. I am just so sorry this is so much trouble for these two!
