Question about windows 10
I just ordered parts for a new computer and now need to get windows 10. Does it have a free trial period? Can i just make a usb install and then buy it after i'm online?

Sure, no problem. Install it and click "I haven't got a key" when asked. Once it is installed you can go to Activation which will take you to the store where you can buy the key.
Make sure you only install Pro if you are planning to buy the Pro key. If you want to buy 10 home then install 10 home. The ISO's you download contain both and it will ask you which you prefer when you install.
Just additional clarification.
You can run for 30 days on a trial basis. After that it will start to nag you for a licence, and eventually refuse to boot (no idea how long that is).
The trial version works just as well as activated version, with the exception you cannot use the personalisation features, which is no big deal.
This is quite a good idea to do, in case you find any significant issues before you part with your cash.
Thank you so much. This was very helpful information.
