Don't get me started on Bing. If you like it that's fine, I just don't like it getting rammed down my throat. It didn't matter how many times I hid that update in Windows 7 updates, it would always come back. Now in 8 its the default and serves Adds up to your desktop. At least you can turn it off during the install. For now anyway.

    Hi,
Okay this last install of 9926 installed without the 250mg recovery partition that prior builds have produced ?
    Anyone else seeing this ?
I have since removed the build I had enough looking at it....
But found that interesting the recovery partition was not installed
The drive had no partitions on it I did the custom install and deleted it it was just one large unallocated space :/

Possibly 10 just isn't showing it anymore show hidden folders, files and drives was selected
Even show hidden system files.. was but nothing in disk management :/
I did notice that the reserve was not included this time. I do clean installs for 10 and have had the reserve with the active flag that comes with it and messes up the boot. Not this time. I have been sending feedback asking for the install media to see my other active partition. Well I'm thinking they fixed this for me! ha. When I did my install I deleted the reserve then the main partition and it all went together as unalacated. I hit next and instead of getting the message about windows will make a small partition it just stated installing. I was surprised to get the full dual boot screen with ten being default and 7 and vista right below just like its spose to work. So I am one who is happy with 9926

disk manage pic shows ten installed on disk 1 with the vista and 7 on disk 0

    10 is C, 7 is F, vista is D, vista recover files is E

No doubt I've rejected both skydrive/ onedrive folder and bing desktop search for a very long time for very good reason
I don't need anything soaking up my bandwidth to serve crap web search and unnecessary syncing
I don't even like or need windows essentials photo gallery..... which only movie maker was any good and it took a long time to get any good.

Then you get into the nasty outlook.com junk email stuff and it's just not my cup of tea.
I've always preferred gmail but still wouldn't get into a live stream or title for it.

I do use onedrive, but I don't like bing. I only said that jokingly as they are shoving it at us.

ThrashZone. I booted my copy of PW 8.1 minitool and saw the same thing as disk manage saw. No other partition on my ssd drive. I have done lots of installs with dual boot scenarios on lots of pc's since this started in oct. but seems to me this is the first time I did not have to mess with the boot files to get all my os's show up on the boot screen. But its all good I'm lovin it. Charlie

    Recovery Partition

There's a criteria that must be met before that partition will be added.
I'm not sure but is shouldn't be too hard to find.......... an empty drive and a freshly formatted partition seems like a possibility but I can't remember what I had for lunch two hours ago!!
