Windows 10: Update a dual boot Windows 7 32bit to Windows 10 64bit
Ran Into TROUBLE!!!
I tried to upgrade to Windows10 from inside windows7 using the windows 10 upgrade software(from MS website), the upgrade was downloaded and almost finished. Then an error message came and my PC restarted. Then it tried to recover upgrade. But it failed and I was brought back to Win7. But now my windows7 is showing not genuine. I used the product key and still cannot be activated. They are asking me to contact HP for a solution. Oooops...
What should I do now!!
Looks like you are going to have to purchase a product key that is not blocked by Microsoft.
this is the current situation.. After trying SLMGR -REARM
Yep. Because the product key has been blocked by Microsoft (for a long time). You never did answer the question if there is a COA sticker on the computer anywhere.
Sorry, I think you haven't seen it.. But i had already answered NO!!
What about SLMGR -REARM ?
Can I run this "NON-GENUINE" win7 after 30 days??
What does the automatic activation do ??
Will it make that Not-Genuine water mark on my PC again?? (It have been cleared after SLMGR -REARM)
Yes, that is what will happen when the automatic activation is attempted and it fails because the product key is blocked.
What is the effect of SLMGR-REARM ??
