    It looks like you are installing fro DVD or USB. I suggest you install directly from the .iso on the system.

    He keeps getting the dreaded corrupted iso file message, even though it`s telling him it`s the full 3.92 GB.

    You said you were doing this on the laptop.

    I would start a download on the desktop tonight and give it a shot tomorrow.

    Go with the 32 bit version.

    You are gonna stay with a virtual machine. So you`ll have to install it.

    VMWare Player second one from the bottom of the list.
