Yes, I know that the updates will do this.
But this is just an overall general question for curiosity purposes.

For example, my USB bootable stick contains the Win 10 Build 10586.0 created from the MCT last month or so.
So If I decide to clean install to the next build (10586.35) or whatever the next build version would be by creating another bootable USB stick, will the MCT do all the reformatting automatically by overwriting the current Win 10 Build which is on my USB stick now?

So basically my question would be do I need to have to reformat my USB stick manually myself or will the MCT do the formatting process automatically when creating those Win 10 setup files onto the USB stick?

I never do upgrades, only a clean install.

2 of us are presently downloading MCT iso file.
Once downloaded, we will know which version the current MCT iso contains.

Adding : why mark this thread as Solved while your main question has yet to be answered or confirmed ?

At this point, I don't really care what version it is.

My question being, will the MCT do all the reformatting process automatically during the creation of the bootable USB stick or will I need to do the reformatting myself?

Don't waste your times downloading the ISO just because of me. I really don't care what version is downloaded.
All I am really asking is whenever I create a Win 10 bootable USB stick using the MCT, will the MCT reformat the USB automatically or will I need to reformat it again manually before running the MCT.

    That's all.

Please don't waste time downloading this all because of me.

And you realize that your only real question was answered early on, right?

The current MCT (marked as 10586.35 - which does not have a corresponding Windows 10 version) gets you the 10586.0 ISO file created by Microsoft on 10/30/2015 at 1:27 am.

First of all I think that's a mistake in the build number. 10586.35 was supposed to be as 10586.36...I assume. Don't know for sure.
But if the MCT ISO reverts to 10586.0, then its best to update through the Windows Updates after installation is completed.

So how can we ensure or know for sure if Microsoft is updating their MCT downloads?

Download the ISO file. Mount the ISO file. Find the sources folder in the ISO file (it might be under x64 or x86 if you downloaded the combined 32/64 bit ISO). Run the following command from an elevated command prompt:

    DISM.exe /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:E:\sources\install.wim /Index:1

Path in red is the path to the install.wim file. It might also be an install.esd file:

    DISM.exe /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:E:\x64\sources\install.esd /Index:1

/Index:1 should show the Home version. /Index:2 should show the pro version.

I would not expect Microsoft to update the ISOs until a new major build number goes RTM.
